Directions
to setup Outlook Express 5.x or Outlook 2000:
1. Open Outlook Express or Outlook 2000.
2. From the Outlook Express menu, select "Tools" then "Accounts".
3. Select the "Mail" tab and click "Add", then "Mail". This will
open the email wizard.

4. Enter your Display Name, e.g. John Smith then click Next.
5. Enter your email address in the format of username@yourdomain.com
where you change yourdomain.com to your actual domain name. Click
Next.

6. Complete the following information:
Incoming mail server: POP3
Incoming AND Outgoing mail: mail.yourdomain.com where
yourdomain.com is changed to your actual domain name.
Click Next.

7. Enter your username into the Account Name field, e.g. jsmith.
Enter your password (this is assigned by the Cyber-Logics staff). Note:
Both the username and password are case sensitive, so make sure to have
the Caps Lock turned OFF on your keyboard when entering this information.
Click Next.

8. Click Finish.

9. Close the Internet Accounts window. Your email account is
now ready for you to check your mailbox and to send email.
Change an Important Option
1. From
the Outlook Express menu, select "Tools" then "Options".
2. Be sure to Check Mark the Box that says
"Check for new messages every" and change the time
to "10 minutes" or less. Click "OK" when
done.
To Send and Receive Email
1. Click Send & Receive on the Outlook Express toolbar. Outlook
Express will connect to the mail server and check for new mail in your
mailbox.
2. If you have any email in your mailbox, it will display in
the window. To read an email message, click the message to open it.
3. To send an email message, click the Compose Message button.
Enter the email address of the person you are writing to in the "To"
field. You may enter a subject for the message in the "Subject" field.
4. Type your message and click the Send button.
